A 12 year old boy's beheading, although videoed, has gone almost unreported by the mainstream media. But a photograph of a 5 year old boy seated in an ambulance has achieved international coverage. What do these two media events have in common? The photo-journalist, Mahmoud Raslan, was present at both. It is alleged that Raslan is a member of the Nouredin al-Zinki movement of US-funded terrorists who beheaded young Abdallah Issa, whom they accused of collaborating with the Syrian Army. Apart from the sheer horror of these machinations, the important point to be made is that western mainstream news went out of its way to publicise one photo, but buried another far more shocking act, because it was performed by United States supported 'rebels'. Now the iconic photo of Omran Daqneesh takes us straight to the one of poor Abdallah Issa, which pro-United States media, which takes its orders from the Whitehouse, would rather sweep under the carpet.
The first photograph is a composite of photos said to be from Mahmoud Raslan's facebook site.
The group photo (now labelled 'same blue shirt') is said to be on Mahmoud Raslan's facebook page:
Then there are two images of Mahmoud Raslan taking the photo of Omran Daqneesh. These are stills taken from the facebook film.
Facebook film of Mahmoud Raslan taking photo of Omran Daqneesh
The facebook film contains footage of film taken by someone else who was present at the Omran Daqneesh ambulance scene and who filmed Raslan taking the famous photograph of 5 year old Omran. It also contains film of the beheading of 12 year old Abdalla Issa by an associate of Raslan's, also on Raslan's facebook.
Here is the film putting the allegations together on Facebook. It includes the tragic and cruel decapitation of a despairing Abdalla Issa, with his executioner clearly identifyable.
Do rebels that beheaded Syrian child get US funding? 09 Aug 2016
Here is film of a reporter asking the US State Department spokesperson whether they supported the Zinki group. The response is extremely evasive.
Why is this all so important that thousands of alternative media activists are publicising it? Because the US/NATO war machine has the mainstream media in its pocket in their war against Syria but most people cannot believe how bad the situation is. This series of media images tells a powerful story of how the mainstream media and US/NATO seem to work with and protect the very worst of criminals. The outcome they are seeking is to demonise the Syrian government and its army ('barrel bombs' 'poisonous gases' 'civilian deaths') so that the world will stand by and allow a total invasion of barbaric actors to take this secular country apart.
