Speakers: Prof Michael Buxton; Clifford Hayes MP, (10 mins each) Felicity Watson (National Trust), Charles Sowerwine (Royal Historical Societies Victoria), and Jackie Watts (Australian Heritage Advocacy Alliance) (5 mins each); Attendees to talk on local issues, the inquiry into protections with the Victorian planning framework, heritage concerns and a general discussion on the path forward. Prof Michael Buxton and Clifford Hayes MP will each speak for 10 minutes to provide background and context on the state of heritage protection in Victoria. Felicity Watson (National Trust), Charles Sowerwine (Royal Historical Societies Victoria), and Jackie Watts (Australian Heritage Advocacy Alliance) will speak for 5 minutes on the role of their organisations.
There will then be an opportunity for attendees to talk briefly about local issues, the inquiry into protections with the Victorian planning framework, heritage concerns and a general discussion on the path forward.
Note: It is a requirement by the venue for all attendees to be double vaccinated, and to bring evidence of this.
