Is the inevitable consequence of suppression of public policy debate over population growth management what has led to polarisation of views and conflict?
News.com today (4 April 2015) reported the following:
"The Reclaim members sang renditions of Advance Australia Fair, but the anti-racism protesters’ chants of “immigrants are welcome, racists are not” could also be heard throughout the CBD."
The above is testimony to the confusion caused by the ABC and other media by their endless refusal to discuss the differences between refugees, immigration and population growth management. There also appears to be widespread confusion about what is a racist. If you have nothing more than a subjective opinion of what racism is, how can you claim to be an anti-racism protestor? Is the behaviour of No Room for Racism nothing more than bigoted prejudice of the same kind as they claim to oppose? Is their behaviour worse because they use intimidation and oppression in an attempt to deny their opponents' right to express an opinion?
"Police officers are trying to disperse anti-Islamic extremism and anti-racism protesters holding competing rallies at several locations across the country including Melbourne’s Federation Square and Sydney’s Martin Place."
"Melbourne has become a battleground of competing ideologies, with a rally by the Reclaim Australia movement and counter-protest by the left-wing No Room for Racism group."
This is exactly the kind of unrest that the ABC has helped create by failing to report honestly about population growth in Australia.
Allowing the problem to degenerate into a left wing / right wing "ideological battle" supports the Government's autocratic pro population growth extremism. Has Government achieved what it has set out to do? Will the issue now be depicted as "ideological" and will the underlying issue of population growth management continue to be concealed by Government and the media?
Has the ABC caused unrest by depicting population growth as good without objectively analysing why it may be a breach of global human rights plus socially, ethically, economically and environmentally bad?
Are the following ABC personnel operatives of an organisation which has orchestrated autocratic, undemocratic misrepresentation and suppression of "the contest of ideas" in Australia?:
- James Spigelman AO, ABC Chairman
- Mark Scott AO, ABC MD
- Alan Sunderland, ABC Head of Editorial Policy
- Tony Jones, ABC Television Journalist
- Fran Kelly, ABC Radio Presenter
Will they now continue to support the festering and trivialisation of the population growth management issue as a left wing / right wing "ideological" drama involving good guys (multiculturals) and bad guys (racists)? A drama they have done their utmost to create (which serves as a distraction from the Government's pro population growth extremism?) for almost 20 years?
We shall see..............
