We're excited to launch this years World Kangaroo Day, October 24th 2023. The theme is 'Co-existing with Kangaroos’. We once again are pleased to welcome our ambassador, Australian cricket legend and proud Kamilaroi man, Jason 'Dizzy' Gillespie. Let's get together across the world to start preparing fun and ground breaking activities to celebrate kangaroos. (Kangaroos Alive)
The University of Technology Sydney and Kangaroos Alive are partnering on a 'Co-existing with Kangaroos’ study and will present a webinar on World Kangaroo Day.
The World Kangaroo Day Photography Competition is now open. We are delighted that our fabulous judges Steve Parish and Robert Irwin have once again donated their time, expertise and prizes. We can't wait to see all your fabulous entries in this wonderful celebration of Kangaroos. Special thanks to Charing Cross Photos in Sydney for their generous prize of printing and framing the winning photos.
For World Kangaroo Day and beyond we are partnering with Back to Country and Save Kangaroos on Mornington Peninsula to support Kangaroo Walks and Talks.
