David McBride Trial - Day One

A report on Day 1 of the trial is followed by some very interesting short speeches at a rally in Canberra in defense of McBride and on the cowardice of the opposition and the government.  Some of the speakers are Bernard Collaery, David Shoebridge, Mary Kostakidis, Lynette Anderson (Greens), and David Shoebridge.  The Attorney General is lambasted, among others, for his failure to act within his powers to stop this prosecution. Australian barrister and military whistleblower goes on trial in the Canberra Supreme Court from November 13 to December 1 for disclosing classified information to Australia's national broadcaster, the ABC, about war crimes committed by Australian soldiers in Afghanistan.
