Guest speakers: Scott Breschkin Marine Conservation Officer with The Nature Conservancy Australia and Josh Davis, Pesticide Action Australia, on pesticide use in coastal reserves around Port Phillip Bay.
Scott Breschkin leads several marine restoration projects in Victoria, including restoring shellfish reefs in the Gippsland Lakes and golden kelp in Port Phillip Bay. Scott is a keen
diver and loves experiencing firsthand the changes and benefits from these restoration projects over time. He also works with diverse stakeholders and volunteers, from primary school children to retirees, helping to educate, inspire and create resilience in our environment and communities. Scott will update us on TNC’s shellfish reef and kelp conservation projects and other TNC projects, along with some observations from his recent study tour of Canada and the US – how are they managing their priceless marine assets?
We will also be hearing from Josh Davis, Pesticide Action Australia, on pesticide use in coastal reserves around PP Bay
