Nils Melzer, The Trial of Julian Assange, a story of persecution

Her Majesty the Queen is sitting on top of an explosive pile of stinking manure. Nils Melzer's book is like a bomb about to go off. How long can crooked judges and governments hide? How long can the mainstream press pretend that nothing's happening?

I first ordered the book on 4 January 2022. I had three subsequent communications from Amazon, stating vaguely that there were problems with the order. Then on 3 June 2022, I learned they had cancelled the order, “due to lack of availability.ˮ 

I then waited to hear news about the book, from anywhere, but did not until 10 August 2022, when I saw an item on an Irish Assange support site, mentioning a Guardian article, about the Australian Parliament security staff preventing Julian Assange’s father and brother from bringing copies to Australian parliament to distribute.

The grounds were, reportedly, that these were ‘protest materials’. I then went to amazon.com.au and managed to get an electronic copy.  I tried to obtain a hard copy book in Australia. Angus and Robertson's website said they had a supply in Sydney, but after payment, I found it was coming from England and would take two weeks or more.

By the morning of 10 August 2022, I had read a third of Nils Melzer’s book and I can see why there has apparently been interference with publicity and distribution.  Governments are afraid that people will actually read it.

The book supplies many details of tampering, falsification, and destruction of evidence at the level of the Swedish police and legal prosecution. The documentation that Melzer has used to bring this information to the public should be sufficient to justify the prosecution of a number of police and legal officials in Sweden, with Prosecutor Nyes the front-runner.  And the British Crown prosecution service aided and abetted this.  Melzer reveals the nauseating details of the legal contortions involved. He also makes clear statements about the bias and vested interest of judges or magistrates in England, who should therefore have recused themselves from trying Assange. There is surely enough evidence to overturn their judgements.  This book is like a bomb about to go off, but various governments and the mainstream press are making everyone look the other way. How long can they succeed in their grotesque cover-up of their judicial interference, torture, and persecution of Assange, negligence and associated crimes ?  Her Majesty the Queen is sitting on top of an explosive pile of stinking manure.

It takes my breath away to see how successive Australian governments, including Mr Albanese's, have stood by, and stand by, looking the other way, when they could stop a process that will normalise the worst corruption and cruelty at the highest international levels, indefinitely.
