Hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers desert US-backed Kiev and flee to Russia in chaotic civil war

More than 430 Ukrainian soldiers (the US/NATO/Australia-backed government forces - NOT separatists) have crossed into Russia and asked for shelter in past day or so. This follows Kiev's claims the army was about to win the war against anti-government forces in East Ukraine. The Kiev Government has failed to pay its soldiers. They say they have nothing to eat and have run out of ammunition. Local people have refused to feed them because of their brutal behaviour towards civilians in this civil war and the Poroshenko Ukrainian Government is leaving them to starve. The soldiers say they had no alternative but to go to Russia. What does this say about the Poroshenko regime that Australia and US/NATO are backing and what does it say about Russia? What does it say about the Australian mainstream media's failure to report the atrocities of the Poroshenko-Kiev regime against East Ukraine?
Civilians in Lugansk are suffering from severe food and water shortages, having been subjected to siege and their infrastructure demolished by the Kiev soldiers. The UN says that the death toll in the East has gone over 1100 people (probably referring to civilians). According to the UN, 110,000 refugees have sought safety in Russia so far. Despite this, the Australian, US and European media are saying nothing about the refugees and the injured. Bizarrely, they are focusing on the fates of those killed in the MH17 tragedy to the exclusion of the sufferings of and injustices to those who have dealt with the crash scene in the midst of a civil war. News is also focused on Gaza but what is happening in Ukraine is similarly awful. Ukrainians have been continuously bombing other Ukrainians who, like the Palestinians, don't agree with the regime. Why aren't the mainstream press reporting what is happening? Where is their human responsibility? Is everyone afraid of the United States?
Mothers and wives across Ukraine - even in previously pro-government regions have held protests at the war.
An official trying to recruit more people to the army was told by an angry crowd to go to the front line himself.
Fund raising campaigns have been launched by the government but visibly the money is not getting to the army. Where is it going? Note that the Ukrainian prime minister resigned on the 24th of July over the lack of finance for the war but came back when more finance was promised on the 31st of July.

The Ukrainian government has admitted redeploying Short-Range Ballistic Missile Tochka-U (NATO classification: SS-21 Scarab) units within firing range of Donetsk and Lugansk. There is already evidence of either this terrifying weapon or something very similar having been used in a Ukrainian strike on Shakhtyorsk.
The strike targeted civilians – no militiaman was anywhere close. Provided for you below is video evidence if the aftermath of this event and the scars it left behind.
