In early 1990 I changed my name to ZPG and stood for the NSW Senate because of the big lie - that without immigration, Australia's population is declining. It was so wrong then, and it is so wrong still. But recently Nine/Fairfax/ABC/SBS/News have been revving up the old propaganda. Is the big lie propaganda being orchestrated by dark hands? Or are the elites getting individually (Dingaling) worried by the ordinary peoples' reacting to super massive intakes and Gigantic Australia? To Sept 2023, net immigration was 548,800, and natural increase 111,000.

Unfortunately we've had 50 years of witty demographers who can't count.
The so-called fertility rate fell below 2.1 children per woman in 1976.
Yet the number of births has far exceeded the number of deaths every year by more than 125,000. That's a natural increase of 342 extra children, every day, for 50 years. (Except for one Covid year when deaths spiked).
Mr Salt might like to ruminate on how many extra maternity wards, extra bedrooms, extra kindegartens, and extra school rooms we've had to build, and will have to continue to build, every day in every year. Anyone mention a teacher shortage?
