457 Visa rort revealed

by Federal Labor MP Kelvin Thomson – previously published (5 Feb 2015) on kelvinthomson.blogspot.com.au

It is troubling to hear reported today more allegations of fraud and rorting within Australia's migrant worker program, with the Immigration Department conducting a series of raids on a multinational firm working on major Australian mining and infrastructure projects.

The raids targeted the offices of Murphy Pipe & Civil (MPC), with documents and other material seized. The firm has allegedly assisted dozens of Irish workers to fraudulently obtain 457 temporary skilled and other visas.

Welcome to Big Australia dystopia - why some people want it

Aztec-like, "Welcome to a Big Australia" harbingers the elites' desired crammed Australia with a symbolic child sacrifice, Alexander of Malvern East. As with the best traditional victims, Alexander, who looks about 5 years old, has no say in his fate. Innocence is what the gods and the elites require. Mathew Dunckley's "Welcome to a Big Australia", Australian Financial Review 3-5 January 2014, is one among several curious articles linking immigration and housing to a 'Big Australia'. Curious because this big population scenario is portrayed, on the one hand as inevitable, and on the other hand, as in need of promoting in case it does not happen. Curious in many other ways as well.

“Numbers man” Shorten apparently open- ended on Australia’s population numbers.

Bill Shorten’s simplistic statement on immigration population and refugees in Tuesday night’s ALP leadership debate was also open ended and "cornucopian", ignoring the important issues directly affected by high population growth: environment , quality of life , employment, resources and future sustainability. Is Bill Shorten unaware of the sequelae of continuing rapid population growth or is he ignoring them?

Australia's Population Growth Unsustainable - SPA

Australia’s population annual growth of just under 400,000 people is absolutely unsustainable, according to Sustainable Population Australia (SPA). Our annual population growth, of which 60% is made up of economic immigrants, amounts to building another Adelaide every three years, with all its need for infrastructure, fuel, housing ... at a cost of about $200,000 per person.

Glib and Fanciful - Rudd's 'sustainable' big Australia talk is just what the developers ordered

On 7 March 2013, Kevin Rudd was a lead speaker at a pro-population growth meeting held by the "Urban Development Institute of Australia", which is a property developer body that lobbies continually for higher immigration to grow Australia's population. Now Mr Rudd is our Prime Minister, but he still sounds as if he is working for a bunch of property developers.
