In this 14 minute video, British journalist Richard Medhurst (@richimedhurst) gives all of the critical facts about the Australian journalist Julian Assange who faces the threat of extradition to the United States. There he would be tried at a kangaroo court and would almost certainly be imprisoned for the rest of his life in conditions of solitary confinement that would be even worse than all that he is now being made to endure at London's Belmarsh Prison.

Everything you need to know in one video, explained by someone who has covered his case from inside the court for 4 years pic.twitter.com/UUuqdgrPt7
As Richard explains in the video, he personally attended each court hearing of Julian Assange and has meticuloulsly recorded all of the in his YouTube channel, the details of which are given in the video.
In this video, Richard Medhurst has accomplished what I have attempted many times to do for years - to provide all of the most important and compelling facts about Julian Assange in a form that is sufficiently short for me to be able to put onto a double-sided A5 leaflet that I could hand out to members of the Australian public. Such a leaflet would cause anyone with a substantial degree of humanity within them to be outraged and want to help free Assange. So, after this is published on my web-site https://candobetter.net/, I will transcribe Richard's words for that purpose.
Having said that the inclusion of one further point could have made Richard Medhurst's talk . That fact, is that the Australian government could, if it chose to, use the power vested in it as a sovereign government to demand of the UK that it release Julian Assange today. The Australian govenment could also, if it chose, demand of the United States that it cease its illegal efforts to extradite Assange. If the Australian government were to do either, both the UK and the US government would be left with no choice but to comply.
With the overwhelming international support for Julian Assange and a number of legal avenues it could pursue, the Australian government would quickly make both the UK and the US get their bloody hands off Julian Assange and allow him, should he wish to, to come home to Auatralia.
