Deaths and Politics in Victorian hospitals

Growth is choking our city, our public transport, our parking lots, and streets and causing more and more "shortages", and rising costs - particularly in hospitals. Does it take a death of someone waiting to get some funding? More democracy in the system would solve a lot of the problems. When workers are too scared to complain vigorously, the patients aren't heard either. Does anyone have a choice in this system? Who is responsible?

Call for Conditional Citizenship Bill

Australian Citizenship Pledge:

'From this time forward I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people, whose democratic beliefs I share, whose rights and liberties I respect, and whose laws I will uphold and obey.'

When new Australians pledge their loyalty to Australia, it is not some token spiel, it is a solemn oath! Many proudly respect this oath, but evidence from our gaols demonstrates that also many do not.

Australian citizenship is a privilege, highly valued and sought after globally. It is not a right. Citizenship comes with prerequisite conditions and performance conditions.

'Skills Shortage' - industry euphemism for 'migrants are cheaper than local training'!

The so-called 'skills shortage' in Australia is mere industry propaganda to avoid training costs. This is despite Australia have an advanced industralised base and a deep capacity as an education training nation and indeed exporter of education!
Yes, government and industry bleat unsubstantiated a 'skills shortage' so they can bring more and more immigrants for selfish short term economic ends while avoid financial cost of education and training locally and moral obligations to do so.

Mining companies are the worst. Their international ring-in approach sourcing foreign contractors suits mining companies to a tee - no give and all take!

Australian tolerance is being abused by excessive immigration

Australians are a tolerant mix of people, perhaps no more so than indigenous Australians who have put up with wave after wave of immigrants.

But Australia's immigration problem is not one of racism or xenophobia. It is local natural response to the sheer numbers of people arriving over a short period of time, to the point where our society, economy and environment are not coping and are where locals are copping negative social impacts.

Immigration Stress - a consequence of excessive Economic Migrants

Australia's immigration stress is the hundreds of thousands of economic migrants arriving at Sydney and Melbourne airports, NOT the few thousand asylum seekers arriving by boat.

If you want to know where the jobs, houses, hospital beds and education places have gone, look to the migrants taking them. 'Spot the Aussie' is a rarity. Economic migrants are not paying their way and sapping our limited public resources to the detriment of indigenous, ancestral and birth Australians.

Prioritise Australia's unemployed ahead of immigrants for unskilled jobs

Why is it that Australia's unemployed number 611,000 in March 2010 just gone, while thousands of unskilled jobs are being filled by new immigrants? Invariably, taxis in the capitals cities are driven by new migrants and how many taxis do we have?

The Rudd-led Decultural Invasion of Australia

When Australia has an annual record 383,000 net migration this last year we have what is tantamount to foreign invasion by stealth. It is an 'immigration invasion'.

Howard started it and Rudd has perpetuated it. Australians are being pacified and re-educated into believing misleading justifications like economic growth, addressing skills shortages, multi-culturalism, being a world citizen, etc.

[This article was initially a comment to Sheila Newman's article 'Australia's governments are coordinating an unarmed invasion without your permission']

Zero population growth rate needed for Victoria

We can't address Victoria's biodiversity losses or climate change and at the same time continue with our historically high population growth rate.
